Cadet Tactical Decision Games

Tactical decision games are a great tool to develop critical thought and decision making in leaders when getting into the field isn’t an option.  The TDGs that appear on this page were designed with cadets in mind.  We will try to publish new TDGs monthly. If you have an idea for a TDG or a question about one of the featured games, send us an email!

Tools and Resources

  • Army Land Navigation Trainer – A surprisingly good Land Nav sim.  Handy if you need some reps at plotting points, terrain association, etc…
  • OPORD Template for Cadets – There are a lot of OPORD templates out there.  The Company Leader’s OPORD Template is a great tool for BOLC, CCC, Ranger School, etc… but more in-depth than what is required for most Cadet purposes.  This tool is designed to fit in your pocket- ensure “layout” settings are on landscape to view pages side by side.
  • Cadet Pocket Guide – This pocket guide is designed to assist Cadets in planning and operations at FTX, Cadet Summer Training, etc…  Feel free to edit it, make it your own, and carry it with you.  We have tailored this product to Cadets at one ROTC program with very positive results.  We would love to hear your feedback!
